Are You Really That Good 12"

1-Day

1-Day, Barbados 1992

A seductive 12" from Barbadian group 1-Day that perfectly captures that early '90s Caribbean boogie-meets-new jack swing moment. The title track "Are You Really That Good" poses the eternal question while the flip side "Keep The Light On" provides the steamy answer - it's basically the before and after of a romantic encounter laid out across two sides of vinyl.

I've played the A-side countless times, and there's no mistaking this as anything but a 1992 release with those smooth production touches and cooing background vocals. While it's only sold a couple times online, the 74 Discogs wants suggest I'm not alone in hunting this one. I guess when you combine boogie, new jack swing and funk with a Barbadian origin story, you've got a recipe for a sought-after record. The eternal question remains though - are you really that good?

The vinyl is in great condition, especially for a Barbadian record. Plays through without issue, and loud pressing. The sleeve is generic.
