Kaleidoscope LP

Dan Haerle & Pete Brewer

Mark Records, US 1987

Here is a record by Dan Haerle and Pete Brewer called "Kaleidoscope". This lp is a prime example of clear-eyed, esoteric '80s jazz. The music is a mesh of digital and non-digital instrumentals all draped over a lopping fretless bass (played by Gerald Stockton). This seems like the kind of music a younger adjunct professor of English at some NESCAC school might put on while tootin' cocaine after a dinner party. That may sound hyper specific to you, but it's not.

Edit: I just looked at the picture of these two jokers on the back of the sleeve. Goddamn..

Both vinyl and sleeve are conservatively graded Very Good Plus. The sleeve is still carrying it's shrink. Images and audio clips are from the copy for sale.
