Polydor, Portugal 1986

"Terra De Ninguém" (english "No Man's Land") is allegedly an OST to a movie with the same name. Try as I might, I haven't managed to find any relevant info regarding the film. The inner sleeve features two people who look like actors, but seeing as the OST was put out on Polydor, you'd think the movie would be well distributed or at least documented somehow.

The album itself is less of a mystery. Besides a classical number and a men's choir number, the other eight songs are all good. Producer Fernando António Dos Santos, also responsible for Da Vinci's Vivo Na Selva 12", offers some lush & dream-y sounds here. The style runs from new wave to ballad to experimental pop music.

There are certainly record I have that are harder to find (there is actually a copy of this on Discogs right now), but its hard to find this at a good price. And its hard to find another record with eight good songs on it :)

Oxford was arrested and charged with high treason. A jury found him not guilty by reason of insanity and he was detained indefinitely at Her Majesty's pleasure at the two State Criminal Lunatic Asylums: first at Bethlem Royal Hospital and then, after 1864, Broadmoor Hospital.
